EasyStride: Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how EasyStride ("we", "us", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the EasyStride mobile application. By using EasyStride, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address, first name, and last name via Firebase Authentication. Account creation is optional; you can use the app without signing in.

• Profile data: Fitness goals, activity level, and onboarding preferences you select during setup.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Location data: Precise GPS location data is collected during active run/walk sessions to track your route, distance, and pace. Location is only collected while a workout is in progress and with your explicit permission. Background location may be used to maintain tracking if the app is minimized during a run.

• Health and fitness data: With your permission, EasyStride integrates with Google Health Connect to read and write fitness data such as steps, heart rate, and workout sessions.

• Workout history: Your run/walk sessions, intervals, duration, distance, pace, calories, RPE (rate of perceived exertion), and notes are stored locally on your device and optionally synced to the cloud if you are signed in.

• Photos: If you choose to share workout summaries, the app may access your camera or photo gallery to create shareable images. Photos are not uploaded to our servers.

• Device information: Device model, OS version, and advertising ID (for ad serving) may be collected by third-party SDKs listed below.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide core app functionality: run tracking, interval timing, training plans, progress analytics, and workout history.

• To sync your data across devices if you create an account.

• To display personalized advertisements (free version only; All-Access users see no ads).

• To improve the app through anonymous usage analytics.

• To provide customer support.

3. Third-Party Services

EasyStride uses the following third-party SDKs, each with their own privacy practices:

Google AdMob: Advertising (banner & interstitial ads in free version) | Advertising ID, device info, coarse location, IP address

Firebase (Authentication & Analytics): User authentication, crash reporting, usage analytics | Email, device info, app usage data

Supabase: Cloud database for data sync (if signed in) | Workout data, profile data, email

Google Sign-In: Optional sign-in method | Email, name, profile info

Google Health Connect: Read/write health and fitness data | Steps, heart rate, workout sessions (with permission)

RevenueCat: In-app purchase management | Purchase receipts, anonymous app user ID

4. Data Storage

• Local storage: Workout data, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Hive (an offline database). This data remains on your device even without an account.

• Cloud storage: If you sign in, your workout data and profile are synced to Supabase (a cloud database) so you can access them across devices. Data is protected by Row Level Security (RLS); only you can access your own data.

5. Advertising

The free version of EasyStride displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your advertising ID and device information to show relevant ads. You can:

• Reset your advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

• Opt out of personalized ads in your Google Ads settings.

• Remove all ads by upgrading to EasyStride All-Access (one-time purchase). All-Access users do not see ads and no ad requests are made.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the third-party services listed above for the purposes described. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws), you may have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your data.

• Delete: Request deletion of your account and cloud-synced data. Local data can be cleared by uninstalling the app.

• Export: Export your workout history at any time, free of charge.

• Revoke permissions: Withdraw location, health, and notification permissions at any time in your device settings.

• Opt out of ads: Upgrade to All-Access or reset your advertising ID.

To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

8. Children's Privacy

EasyStride is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Data Retention

• Local data: Remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data.

• Cloud data: Retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time.

• Account data: Email and profile data retained until account deletion is requested.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Cloud data is transmitted over HTTPS and protected by Supabase Row Level Security. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
